Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room and dental instruments before patient examinations and procedures.
• Hand instruments and materials to the dentist or dental hygienist during treatments.
• Assist with dental X-rays.
• Mix and prepare dental materials like fillings, impressions, and cements.
• .Manage appointment schedules, keep accurate patient records, and maintain an orderly dental workspace.

Requirements

• GCE O’ level or above
• Previous experience as a dental Assistant is advantageous.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and adherence to sterilization and sanitation standards
• Understanding dental terminology and common dental procedures is essential for assisting the dentist effectively during patient treatments.
• Proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment, such as suction devices, dental drills etc
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, dentists, and other dental staff effectively.
• Compassion and empathy to provide a comfortable experience for patients, especially those who may feel anxious about dental procedures.
• Physical stamina is essential.
• Being a team player is crucial for a smooth workflow and patient care.
• Dental assistants should be adaptable and able to handle unexpected situations or changes in the dental practice's routine.
